What you will be doing:
Define and lead the test strategy for off-highway software products, including the computing platforms, displays/HMIs, and ECUs across software, system, and hardware domains.
Coordinate and align testing activities across teams, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and alignment with project schedules.
Ensure compliance with safety and cybersecurity standards (ISO 13849, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 25119, ISO 19014) and internal quality processes.
Monitor and manage defects throughout the lifecycle by ensuring traceability and timely resolution.
Prepare test reports and dashboards, and track KPIs such as coverage, defect leakage, and testing efficiency.
Act as the central contact for all testing-related topics and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on requirements and quality goals.
Provide testing effort estimates and integrate test activities into overall project planning.
Continuously improve testing methodologies, automation, tooling, and CI/CD practices.
Drive process improvements to maintain audit readiness and certification compliance.
Mentor test engineers and support their development in test design, automation, and tool usage.
Foster a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Identify training needs and ensure the team stays ahead of industry testing practices.
Occasional business travel for meetings, coordination, and training.
What we are looking for:
Technical degree in informatics, computer science, software engineering, or a related field
Strong foundation in embedded systems and software development processes
Minimum 5 years of experience in software/system testing or quality assurance for embedded systems
At least 2 years in a test lead or test manager role, with proven responsibility for planning and coordinating testing activities
Hands-on experience in safety-critical system testing (e.g., automotive, aerospace, machinery) is highly valued
Knowledge of functional safety standards and their application in the testing process
Comfortable ensuring product compliance with standards such as ISO 13849, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 25119, and ISO 19014
Proficient in safety-critical testing techniques (e.g., requirements-based testing, boundary value analysis, failure mode testing)
An ISTQB Certified Tester certification (Advanced Level Test Manager or equivalent) is an advantage
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage stakeholders, and communicate testing results and recommendations effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a quality-first mindset and attention to detail.
Reliable, committed, and precise team player with an independent working style
Excellent communication skills in English
